Interview with Léopoldine, Sector and Sustainable Development Manager
"We have a vision. A vision that fundamentally transforms agricultural systems, and that of the pickle."
Agriculture is currently undergoing a new revolution. It must reinvent itself, meet the challenges of global food sovereignty, and adapt to climatic constraints. Pickle growing must play its part in this challenge, and the adoption of agro-ecological methods will enable farmers to turn to nature-based solutions for growing our condiments.
In the long term, this means great hope: the emergence of viable agricultural systems, the safeguarding of natural balances, and the recovery of biodiversity in terms of both flora and fauna. Preserving resources and producing healthily will benefit everyone, ensuring the well-being of people and the long-term sustainability of territories and businesses. Above all, it will enable future generations to make a decent living from the land.
A profound change is therefore necessary, towards a more ecological, regenerative and climate-friendly agriculture.
